Irina Shayk confirms split from Cristiano Ronaldo, denies fall-out with his family

The fact Irina Shayk was not by the side of Cristiano Ronaldo for the Ballon d'Or in Zurich last Monday set tongues wagging.
Eagle eyes on the internet noticed the pair were no longer following each other on social media sites and rumours were rife.
Its taken the famous gossip column of the New York Post, Page Six, to confirm the rumours that Irina Shayk and Cristiano Ronaldo are officially over.
A representative of Shayk has told Page Six: "We can confirm Irina Shayk has ended her relationship to Cristiano Ronaldo."
In terms of what caused the relationship to end, it had been suggested that Shayk fell out with Ronaldo over his family, specifically his mother.
But, Shayk's representative told Page Six: "She has been close with his family throughout the course of their relationship. Any negative rumors with regards to Irina and the Ronaldo family are completely false, and have not been a factor in the cause of the spilt. Irina has no further comment at the time."
Page Six failed to grab any quotes from Cristiano Ronaldo, who is set to play for Real Madrid at Getafe on Sunday lunchtime.
