Pique and Shakira: Among world's most influential couples

A study has placed Barcelona defender Gerard Pique and girlfriend Shakira among the most powerful couples in the world of social media.
The Spaniard met the singer in 2010 during the filming of a music video for the official World Cup song and they now have two children together.
According to research conducted by #socialscene, the relationship is one of just two to surpass the 200 million followers mark.
With 213.9 million fans, he and Shakira are not far behind Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who lead the way with 223.3m.
Lagging behind in third place are rapper Kanye West and his spouse Kim Kardashian with 193.5m, ahead of the Obamas with 170.7m and the Beckhams on 112m.
On some occasions, as with the number one couple, it is one person pulling in much of the fan following as Bloom is only active on Instagram, while his girlfriend has 220 million across her various social media platforms.
The study also shows that the average 'influencer' will post five tweets per day and five Instagram posts in one week.
